My in laws recently got into a fender bender with their 2017 A4 technik, and the passenger side headlight assembly got a bit damaged (lens broke, as well as the frame where the lens would attach). Unfortunately, the repair needs to be done out of pocket due to the insurance on the car having lapsed at the time, so we’re hoping to get by with just replacing the headlight and leaving the paint damage on the bumper.
I’m trying to figure out where the best place to source an oem headlight would be. Assuming that only the unit itself needs to be replaced since everything internal (ie connectors, plugs, bolts) are all fine as it was a low speed impact. The dealership quoted an eye watering $6k car for a replacement headlight but it can’t possibly be that much??
