Long story shorter, I have been looking for a daily driver ever since I sold my RS3 (which was a mistake in retrospect). Looked at buying another one, but they're just not worth what people want for them, to me. Then I changed jobs, and got access to much nicer cars, and figured I'd get an old man car to get back and forth to work and keep the M2C in the garage. So, I bought a cherry E350 that came in. Except, even after being looked over by my techs, over the next 2 months all sorts of expensive crap broke so it wasn't cherry and I dumped it. Started driving the M2 but stick in traffic got annoying, but not annoying enough to sell it. Fast forward to the other day, and a GLA45 gets towed into the store. Talk to who I assumed was the owner, and the car was his fathers, who at the age of 78 had recently passed, the car had a flat tire so he was bringing it to us to fix and sell us the car. It had sat for over a year, and looked like it. So much dirt on the paint, I really should have taken pictures. Anyway, only 42000 miles. So I made him an offer, he took it, and I owned the car. Here it is after being cleaned up.

Going thru the car, I found a folder with every receipt ever, plus this little guy, oh my. Looked it up, makes over 500ft/lbs torque and 430ish hp.

Under the hood, hope Sascha built this right

I've only driven it around 10 miles so far, and didn't push it too much as I want to get oil and consumables changed first, but I can tell this thing packs a punch and is very fun. Maybe not quite as fast as my old RS3, but not that far off, and for half price of what RS3's go for these days, I'm super happy.

Paw paw knew what was up with a chipped GLA 45.

These have always seemed like hidden gems.
Yeah, I'm really enjoying it so far. Makes all sorts of good noises, has some lag which reminds me of my old Evo in a good way, and it handles well enough. The M2 will still gap it from a roll, but from a dig this thing will put several car lengths on it for sure. Hopefully in a year or two, the market comes back to reality and I replace both with a new RS3, but these two should hold me over.

Had the shop do some maintenance today. Oil change, rear diff service, air filter, cabin filter and spark plugs. I need to figure out who makes this oil for MB, as its not cheap.

Then on the way home, I decided to take the phone out of my rear end, just for @Hostile, and take some better pics by the beach. Keep in mind, I'm still no photographer in any way shape or form.

Nice cars, my buddy had a 15 CLA45 edition one he ordered new. We spent summer of 2016 building/tuning that car. He spent about $25,000 in modifications and I had the pleasure of installing parts/tuning/test driving. We blew the doors off of everything in that car. Enjoy it.
$25k in modifications? What did he do to it to spend so much money?

Full akropovic exhaust, inc down pipes, valves was roughly $7 or $8k at the time , ten tech turbo was $6k + tax, renntech strut brace, control arms, and toe links. Black and red BBS CHR rims, which looked absolutely gorgeous black his edition one was all black with the red accents everywhere including the satin chrome grille which was beautiful. He had some transmission modifications done, I can’t remember what because when the parts came in I was in Aruba….then when we finished up a few weeks later he was running I believe the renntech ecu ($2k ) but after about a month of playing around with the car on that ECU we brought it to get professionally tuned, and the car was running an aggressive 93 octane tune and pushed just nearly 600whp

If I can find a green one for a decent price, its happening
@SCHWAB0 has a green RS3 and only keeps his cars for about 15 minutes. Just work out buying his when he's ready to move on to the next whatever.

I won't even charge you my fee for making the connection.
