Long story shorter, I have been looking for a daily driver ever since I sold my RS3 (which was a mistake in retrospect). Looked at buying another one, but they're just not worth what people want for them, to me. Then I changed jobs, and got access to much nicer cars, and figured I'd get an old man car to get back and forth to work and keep the M2C in the garage. So, I bought a cherry E350 that came in. Except, even after being looked over by my techs, over the next 2 months all sorts of expensive crap broke so it wasn't cherry and I dumped it. Started driving the M2 but stick in traffic got annoying, but not annoying enough to sell it. Fast forward to the other day, and a GLA45 gets towed into the store. Talk to who I assumed was the owner, and the car was his fathers, who at the age of 78 had recently passed, the car had a flat tire so he was bringing it to us to fix and sell us the car. It had sat for over a year, and looked like it. So much dirt on the paint, I really should have taken pictures. Anyway, only 42000 miles. So I made him an offer, he took it, and I owned the car. Here it is after being cleaned up.
Going thru the car, I found a folder with every receipt ever, plus this little guy, oh my. Looked it up, makes over 500ft/lbs torque and 430ish hp.
Under the hood, hope Sascha built this right
and here are both of them
I've only driven it around 10 miles so far, and didn't push it too much as I want to get oil and consumables changed first, but I can tell this thing packs a punch and is very fun. Maybe not quite as fast as my old RS3, but not that far off, and for half price of what RS3's go for these days, I'm super happy.
