I spent another month or so trying to get ahold of someone after my last post. Literally could not get an answer to save my life. I never went the corporate route.

Sold the car 2 months later.

Bought a Toyota.

I've never seen any car company honor a corrosion warranty. I've even filed a claim myself with a Lexus. It was denied without giving a reason. They know that most people won't pursue it very hard and if it bothers them that much, they'll just trade it in and get a new car.

Likely. However I ran into so many people that had success with VW. That's why it was so frustrating. I'm sure diesel gate really put a damper on things. Oh well. The car is gone.
