Golf Sport reliability: Real facts and experiences with the $26,500 model?

Hi All,
I'm new here. In the midst of getting a Golf Sport (yes the one for $26,500)
I'm getting anxious as been reading they're no super reliable.
Anyone know some real facts?

bah I wouldn't worry - there might be a niggle or two, but you don't hear people saying "my car's great!" - you only hear "my VW is a piece of junk" so it kind of exaggerates the small amount of cars that have the odd problem.

Actually the leasing company are haggling the delaer (Denlo) even further so hopefully will get better price still
$34 inc ORC thats an excellent pickup

ey Zacky... Is the sport a 1.6 or 2.0? Good pickup in anycase - they are very reliable... and if they're not the dealership will fix it

The only major issue I have had with the 1.6L Golf is the ABS recall (which was fixed under warranty). Otherwise the car has been pretty reliable. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

It's a 2.0L manual not much different in spec to a GTI (that I know) besides the obvious engine difference

Yes unfortunately Denlo is out of favour big time with me re pricing.
Penrith Auto World is now the place to get the best deals on VW in Sydney !
