Just got my new motor put in and have been driving around with no problems. We estimate around 225 hp right now, during the break in process.
It drove fine for more than 500 miles. Then one night we turned up the boost to around 15psi and it still felt fine. Its back down now.
However, for some reason now it seems to slip. At least thats what we think it is. Under boost, the engine seems to skip from around 4 to 5k rpm. It seems to do it in all gears, but only seems to do it around that rpm level. I haven't noticed it any other time.
I took it real easy on the car during break in. But why would the clutch slip now, when at higher boost it was fine. Almost like when we took the boost up and then back down it started happening.
We think maybe it needs to be launched a few times before it really get seated in there. Haven't been able to run at the tracks yet cause of bad weather and other stuff. Hopefully next week.
