just some slight rail bending to make them fit

Rail bending? THese fit right in with no mods. If they don't, your car isn't straight.

But yeh any MK2, scirocco, and I believe Corrado seats fit into our cars. I myself have GTI sport seats out of a '90 GTI 8v. They arent quite as bolstered as Recaros but they are quite supportive and comfy also http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: good sport seat (Je2tta)

i broke down and bought Corbeau seats with rail slide adapters. The quality of the seat is OK. Material is cheaper, support is good, but hav not taken long trip yet to give them the real test. Overall for the price they are acceptable.

i put the leather early 80's audi 4k sport seats (the blk leather ones with diagonal seams) in my gf's mk2, they required some bending as well but went in alright.

I was just about to say...I've never seen a bunny with that shift boot or that colour door panels...or that much space for that matter.

Nice choice in seats...I've got a pair myself...going in this thing.

Re: (twelvebook)

some of the newer style of seats look too wide in a rabbit IMO. i recently had a corbeau seat similar in width to the Torino posted above and recently pulled it out and put in some Corbeau Clubmans which are not as wide, cheap as dirt, are really light, and can come in vinyl if you own a slobbery dog like me. my rabbit's not really a daily driver anymore, so being able to recline was not a factor. my harnesses also work better now.
the Clubmans have been around for a while and i think look more appropriate with the vintage of the A1 VW's.. they also look proper in 510's and old toyotas i see out the auto-x's here in the bay.
