So I want to lose the rear drums on my rocco, I was thinking... Does anyone know how easy it is to just snag some rear discs off a newer Golf/Jetta or something? Anyone done it? You can't spit in the junkyard without it landing on a Golf over here. Couldn't be too hard, right?

Just took my own advice - tried to find the posts I made on my rear disc conversion on my girl's 1978 Scirocco - no dice.
Have older posts been "dumped"?

If you want to find something you posted the best way is to search by creator and check the archived instead of recent posts

This is a good writeup. It should be noted though that rear discs place certain expectations on the master cylinder and brake proportioning valves - these must be properly addressed before adding rear disks.
