I have an '04 Jetta 1.8T and a friend of mine suggested that I put on a Bosch 710n DV (from Audi TT) to replace VW's OEM DV, as the OEM one can leak boost with wear. What are the potential advantages/disadvantages to doing this? Has anyone here done it on their turbo? I wanna get the facts before I spend $40+ of money I don't have very often.

Yeah...thanks guys. Once I get a job this summer I'm (most likely) gonna be pitchin in half the monthly payment for an '04 GLI VR6.
