another strike towards my rocco ..argh!

today it starts up good..runs strong....dies in traffic...its idlin just fine and blah dies....then starts right up and goes again...this happen 2 more times today!! and then it startd to choke it self...like i was driving and around 4g's it would bog...and seriously have no accleration!....this happen for like 20 minutes...and then i turnd off the car...and it went away...HELP ME PLEASE...IM ON THE BRINK OF SELLIN THE DAMN THING..AND BUYIN A MK3..GOLF!!!!!

grounds, vacuums, timing.. all that, i fixed two vacuum leaks and fixed my timing and bam it was all back to normal
i forgot it may be the transfer pump or fuel pump, i h ave an extra transfer pump if thats what it is

check the distributor connector and wiring, me and my buddy messed with his 86 8v for over an hour just to find corrosion in the connector

there is a plug that on the fuel distributor, check to make sure its secure, i had the same symptoms. and it ended up being just that. ..hope u fix ur car.

Sounds to me like your main fuel pump. I would go to your local auto yard, pick one up and install it.
Mine went out today. First signs of a dying pump are hesitation on the top end. Then upon acceleration, and then it'll just crap out and die.

wil have to check on that plug junks tomorrow...any who after its fixed..i thnk the car will be goin up for sale...if i can afford a car payment and insurance..will keep ya noted!
