Re: Is the Audi A2 set to die? (Hajduk)

I remember talking to a guy from the Advanced Technology Vehicles Program at the car show this year. Their A2 went from Ottawa to Vancouver (2987.38 miles according to MapQuest) on $86 on fuel.
It would be a shame to let this car die.

Its a pity A2 has to died because its such an innovative city car with TDI and ASF technologies put together in a compact package.

In a compact but expensive package. The A2 is just a tad cheaper than the A3, that´s why it never really caught on.
Looks like it´s even pretty reliable. It was the car with the least defects for 1-3 y/o cars in the recent TÜV report (which measures how many serious defects cars have in our technical inspections) beating out the Japanese competition.

Sheesh, just cos the A2 has to go, doesn't mean all the tech and R&D that went into it will. I guess the A2 is the same case as with the Lupo 3L TDI. Both are extremely high-tech for the class, and thus too expensive to catch on.
I didn't know about the A2's quality. Wow. They need to make the folks in charge of the A2 production in charge of all VAG cars http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
