is there any reason i cant use a DV as a BOV?

i dont see what the difference is other than a DV can be re-routed.

as can some/most BOV's.. I don't see why it wouldn't work

No difference in operation; you can vent a diverter valve to atmosphere as long as you plug the recirculation port.

thats what i thought, i had to make sure i wasnt taking crazy pills or something. it just seems like there are more DVs available at a lower price than most BOVs.

Just to ease your mind my buddy vented a Bosch BPV to atmosphere on his Corrado G60-Turbo. Worked flawlessly.
