the other day i was driving and i tryed to speed up a hill. well i noticed that my car would not boost above 5 psi. i kept driving to boost and it woudln't go over 5 psi. Is there any reason that a 1.8t with upsolute, forge 006 dv, abd turbo inlet pipe, and injen intake should all of a sudden only boost to 5 psi? I then turned the car off while i was driving and started it again and it was boosting somewhat normal. but ever since then it seems like im hitting 1 to 2 psi less boost then before in every gear. any suggestions? thanks for the help and ideas.

Re: ISSUE # 1 (EliteDubs)

i have never hit limp mode before ...i wasn't boosting that morning until i started to go up the hill then i hit 5 psi and it just stopped there. so after being chipped for a few years i don't really see why all of a sudden it happened.

... i was riding in a 20th yesterday that hit limp and threw a "check DV!" code. it was related to our experimenting with an EBC, dont know what it all meant. if you have a vag maybe check the codes and check your boost/vac lines...limp happens for several reasons...you wont know which band-aid to use till you know what the boo-boo is...

I would scan it for codes. Find the problem before trying solutions.
Just because it didn't happen before, does not mean it won't happen now... especially after a few years, things are bound to break or malfunction.
