The adviser told me not to put synthetic oil before my third oil change
because the engine takes a long time to break itself and the synthetic oil would not help the engine break properly cause it s lubricate more than mineral oil

yep...i've seen this as well...except it was only the first 1000 miles or so, but in theory, it makes sense...

Lot's of cars come with factory fill synthetic, Mercedes AMG, Corvette, Porsche to name a few.
I switched at just under 2000 miles, and the motor is strong. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

i went to the dealer today to get some turn signals replaced under warranty three altogether( two in fenders,one in bumper) due to water damage.
response: that sounds fishy, you need to make an appt.
ok so i do and after the car was there all day nothing fixed, car parked against curb, with another car parked against mine http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

i'm pretty sure its factory fill on the new models my oil when i bought my car was super thin and light colored like most syns out there

Talked to a VW rep today about some tire issues on my 2 AE's we got talking about service intervals and whatnot. He said 04 1.8T's were now spec'd with synthetic. I don't know if this is true, I haven't researched it yet. Anyone got an 04? Check the owners manual and let us know. Thanks.

used full synthetic in my first oil change at 3K. I've also heard that they use synthetic out of the factory!Tthis was by reputable VW trech too.
