Led = Double Blink?

Just got clear / red tail lights intalled. Though I thow in some extra bright led to give it the "all clear" look. To my suprise it blink double time as thou the bulb is out. Is it because there's not enough resistance and car think it's burn out and blink fast? Is there a way to make it work?

they make inline resistors....they heat up after a min of use
Variable output realy is the key..

funny......
take the words Variable output turn signal relay to your local truck stop or auto store...
good luck! it will fix the problem...

I put phillips silver vision bulbs in the front (turbo s turn signals) and the rears turn signals for the anti-amber when off look.
The cheap easy way would be to paint the stock bulbs silver

The LEDs will be cool as they will have much faster response, that is definitely noticable.

I picked them up at Autolamps Online, but they are pricy at $23 a pair (PY21W). That's why I suggested painting the stockers silver

I am happy with them though. High quality and no amber reflections when off.

I tried painting it (thin, thin, coat)... still came out crappy. The light can barely get though the paint.
Gotta do it right. I'll be getting the Philips!

sweet.

apparently they are hard to get in the US (as Autolamps Online is in England).
You could do what I did and get two sets (one for the turbo S front turn signals and one for the rear turn signals if you have the red/clear taillights, edit which I see you do

).
For those without Turbo S front ends -- these won't work on the normal front turn signals as these bulbs are single filament, not dual filament like the stock turn signal/running light.
