And someone hit it today
Image

Coming back from lunch down Logan and a guy in a Black Jetta GT decides that he should make a left hand turn from the right hand lane...unforutnately I was in the left hand lane at the time...CRUNCH!!!!!
I am shocked at the lack of damage to my precious...busted the side marker and scratched the bumper and wheel up but that is it. His car on the other had...well let's say it wasn't pretty.
Some guy came up to talk VWs until he realized we were exchanging info...if your on here that was me in the Avs hat.

Yeah, I was at a loss for words. I just kept saying 7 days over and over again. When I got out of my car to look at the damage and saw his car I thought the worse...I was damn near giddy when I saw just the broken light and scratches.
I am actually going to call the kid up and see if he wants to just get me a money order for the cost of the light replacement and call it done. The scratches can probably buff out (maybe he should pay for that too) but it is not worth me filing a claim with his insurance on my part.

Isnt' there enough VW on VW violence these days

Seriously, sad to here it, but glad that it wasn't worse.
I'm sure that some of the local people here would be able to buff out the scratches for a decent price, if any.

I'm glad your wasnt a big deal It never matter how little damage one causes to a car It still blows no matter how you look at it. They will work out though. Good luck!
Its allways better if you dont have to invole insurance companys

Re: (xrockdawgx)

That sucks, so bad. I got rear ended Last December in my baby. Damage was pretty bad. It almost totalled the car but they fixed it, looks really good except for the fact now the back half of the car looks brand new with paint and the front looks like 9 year old paint (it's red, needless to say, I'm still pissed.) oh well a few more months and the front will match the back. I'm sorry to hear about your car. If you want, I'll take a look at it for ya. I worked at a body shop for 2 years and ran my own detaling business on the side.

Re: (jettasin00)

Dang, kinda sucks to know I am not the only one who has had a new car smacked.
Going to be calling his inusrance company in the morning since the bumper has a lot more damage than first look showed

Yep, they told me to pick a auto body shop and get an estimate, fax over the estimate and then 3-5 days to get a check.

go to 4~5 shops, and send em the highest quote...
when you get the check, order a bunch of aftermarket parts and fix it your self
