Actually, it's you who seems to be confused. Think about it. Why is he backing in? Because he can't drive forward in. He has to go out the same way he came in. So if he goes in backwards, he has to come out backwards. Otherwise, if he goes forward out, he scrapes going out, which is exactly what he's trying to avoid.
Understand now?

So where does he turn his car around dude??

My point exactly. Read my original post. There's no where to turn around unless he wants to drive around in his lawn or smash his house - which means backing in is probably not a viable choice. Hence, my suggestion for planks or something else.
I sometimes wonder what fraction of my total post count is made up of me repeating what I said previously. I bet it's over half.

I say try backing it and see what happens. At my previous apartment, I had a single garage with a very wicked dip in the driveway. I scraped big time going nose first, but did not scrape at all when backing it in. Also, I did not scrape when leaving the garage nose first. Yeah, it doesn't make sense, but it's true.

Re: (Grand Admiral Thrawn)

Yea, I am worried about scrapping the lip at stock height, there's no way I'll lower it. I have about a 3 1/2 inch wedge curb on my driveway. Im looking to buy one, but I havent taken a GLI home to check this. I will probley still get it, I really love this car. The ramp will do the job tho. I wish I could see the pics, the host is down.

Re: And this is why I can't lower my GLI :( (VTECeateR)

I can feel your pain.
No one else can be in car when backing in or its gong to drag.
I am definitely not going to add wood or asphalt to my driveway. Keeping the house and yard looking nice is worth a lot more than keeping scratches off the valence. But if we buy another house while I still own the GLI it will get "dumped like old garbage".
