Has anyone ever noticed and hesitation in acceleration, boost loss or any other problems with the J valve and upsolute chip? Im losing boost and and I have jerky spool up with these mods, just wondering if the valve could be the problem. thanks.

Re: J valve with upsolute chip (harv2892)

I have the 1.0 bar Up chip for AWD, and adding a N75 J put me into limp mode. Worked great for about a week or so, then limp started showing up. FYI the "J" valve worked fine with my .8 bar Up chip.

I have UP and a J-valve. It's hit or miss with the valves. The stock one worked ok for me, then I switched to the J-valve in hopes of getting my MBC to work properly. The J-valve works about the same as my stock one and I still can't get my MBC to work right without hitting limp.

Re: (Da Geet)

Im running Up chip w/ H n75, boostvalve mbc w/ the overboost kit. This setup works excellent, I have it set to spike at about 21psi and then holding at 16-18psi tapering to 12 at redline. Previously I had my Up chip with just the H n75 threw me into limp and the Up chip with the F n75 and mbc ran like crap.

i have an upsolute chip and the h valve. i notice some hesitation at the beginning of acceleration. i have two stupid(on my part) questions, what is limp mode and what is the mbc referred to above.

limp mode is when the ecu holds boost to 5 psi only. it doesn't throw a check engine light most of the time but you'll notice the difference in power.
MBC = manual boost controller. people get them to control how much psi they spike to so they don't go in to limp mode. read more about them at http://www.boostvalve.com

this combo surged pretty bad for me.

Re: (jude)

ok I reinstalled the mbc in between the pressurehose & n75 & in between after the n75 & wastegate hose. I think boostvalve has alternative setup on their website.
The mbc is set to 20 psi and I removed the H valve and re-installed the C valve.

Running with the diode switch to off position the boost holds up to 17 psi and with the diode switch on it holds at 20 psi. Basically with the diode of the n75 controls the boost so there's no partial throtle jerkiness, when I switch on the diode the n75 controls the boost until 17-18 psi after that the mbc takes over and controls the boost at 20psi. no limp so far, stay tune
