Is it possible to buy the headlight cover????

I went to the dealership today becasue i was intrested in buying a new plastic cover for the headlight since i was planning on joey modding them...anyways the dealer said that they only sell the whole headlight assembly as one piece

so i was wondering if there is anyplace that does just sell the cover alone...either the stock plastic peice or idealy i would like to get the glass cover from the 20th style

Just be careful tking the cover off. You shouldent have a problem. I did the joey mod and I dident have any problems. Make sure you stick the whole healight in the oven for a couple of minutes and then the glue will loosen up for ya. Then take a flat head screw driver and pry them apart. Save you money.

thanks, well its just i picked up a pair of used headlights so if anything happens to them its no big deal, only thing is one of them has a couple little knicks in it that aren't going to come out with polishing and wet-sanding...so i was just going to try to buy a new cover to the headlight but the dealer said that they couldn't sell me just the cover

20th lamps aren't glass.
I recall seeing a post that someone was able to get a cover, once. Look to the Vortex marketplace and call the shops that sell OEM parts as a big part of their business. They're going to be the ones w/the know-how to dig for such an uncommon piece.

hey man, I saw you were trying to joey mod your lights. I have a set of Hella Glass Blacked Out Ecodes. The glass on them is pitted (little chips in it), but if you want them for the housing so you dont have to do the joey mod, ill sell em for a good price. You could just take the covers off yours and throw em on mine. Also, i could take pix if youre interested, lemme know.
