ROBBED!!!!!!

I hadnt driven my car to school since October when it was painted. On Wednesday morning my usual ride calls me 15 minutes before school starts and tells me I cant get a ride. So I take the dub and of course nervous as hell but I try to shake it off. 11:00 comes and out to the lot I go and when I get to my car it looks like the window is down and my seat is moved up, at first I was like WTF?? and then I looked in and $6,000 stereo is gone and my window is smashed out. All my cd's and the new issue of Import Tuner are also gone. I had a small photoshoot that day as well.

If thats not enough as I am going to work I am thinking"could today get any worse??" and then BEEEEEEEEP Emissions Workshop and a CEL. Dead MAF.

So sorry to hear. I understand exactly how you feel. Same thing happened to me years ago.
I was in grad school. I drove in to the parking lot and went to a class. Someone came in to the classand wispered in my ear that my car was just broken in to. I said that it couldn't be true. I just arrived. Well, it was. It was a kid. He smashed my window and ripped out my Kenwood head unit. They come out very easily on Mk. I Rabbits. Someone even chased him to try to get it back.
As it turns out, someone in the department even mentioned that he saw this person walking through the parking lot the day before looking in the cars. He must have been checking out what he wanted and waited on the hillside for me to arrive the next morning.

That sounds kinda too coincedental for me... Why did your friend suddenly bag out on the normal ride? Where were they at during the time you got robbed? Maybe I'm paranoid... Did they know about your shoot later on in the day= more $$ in the car than normal?

You are absolutely right. It is just to weird, I have been thinking about it nonstop. He has been nervous and shady around me since. Also later that day he called and rather than saying "what are you going to do" or something along those lines all he said was, "Do you have any idea who did it and How much is it all worth?? I know he is hard up for money right now to....... I confronted and he couldnt give me a straight answer, kept starting a sentence than saying "You know??" Real nervous like. He also stole $60 bucks off one of our friends kitchen counters a while back. And before anyone says I shouldnt have friends like that, I have known the kid since 3rd grade so I felt I could trust him.

Edit: he didnt show up till the end of 2nd hour as well.

Where's the pager??
I feel for you, I was robbed 1 month ago, but you gotta use some common sense too.....
$1000 for a alarm to protec a $6000 investment is worth it...

Thats the worst part of all, I have a bad ass alarm, it was doing weird sh*t over the weekend and I had to pull it, I was going to replace it this weekend when I had a chance, I hadnt planned on taking it anywhere so I figured it wouldnt be to big of a deal, thats another reason why I think it was my friend because he knew that.

Guilty. Why should he be nervous...He either did it, or knows someone who did, but that's my gut feeling. Calm down, think it through, and trap his a$$ into confessing somehow.
Mackie has a point, but "I told you so" doesn't help you now. I know it sucks when your car gets robbed... Scirocco was hit 3 times in 10 years...

One thing is though the kid isnt the sharpest knife in the drawer. This is not an easy job to do, and it wasnt forcefully ripped out but more like Taken out. His knowledge of cars is pumping gas at best. He once advised me to turbo my car to help it run cooler

. His brother on the other hand is a bad egg and a half. Guys been in an out of jail for a while. It was so weird when we were on the phone in the morning I was thinking to myself watch todays the day. it was just so weird how I got that feeling and then it happened.

It was in the main lot at my school. I HAD the most intense insurance ever everything covered but right now not to many people are buying Lambo's so money is a little tight. For the time being I am on the shop policy so this couldnt have happened at a worse time. Deductible is insane, if something happened to the car it could just be fixed but this isnt one of those things.

hmm that guy seems to know about what happened. it's just too much of a coincidence. he knows something. either he did it, although you say no, or he definitely knows who did it.

A $1k pager alarm isnt going to protect your car from a pro. I know of people that could take your car without a key.
May I remind you hes stolen Mecedes without the laser key.

well, I am sorry to hear about your car being robbed man, I feel your pain.......the only thing I could suggest now....is either a little STING operation (I am sure myself and other vortexers could help you plan somthing out) or when all else fails..or even before that....involve the police.
file a report....say you have a suspect...ask them to search or whatever...this is not small claims by any means....look into it.
its time for you to get somthing in return for this mishap!

Thanks guys I really appreciate the kind words. It has been a rough week. Something good will come of this in the end. I am just trying to keep a positive attitude and not let this get me down. I will NOT be replacing the stereo and if I get insurance money I am going to ...........you'll see.

that really sucks man, your car is WICKED, i was like OMG those F@CKERS!!....
u can try to trap that guy into a confession, but without that, there is really not that much u can do, the police will not do much, sorry to say. Cops are really slow at proccessing Stolen Car audio, because they get about 100 calls a WEEK about that stuff, it sucks to say, but Car theft is really TOOOOOO common and the police have been decensitized to it....B@stards!!

Ok now get this, god every second more and more comes out, I am at work and the kid in questions brother and a few of his friends "worked" here up untill the last week. Now I find out they all just quit, this is an awesome job and not one you just get and quit. Its all just to weird, I have even hooked one of them up with parts for his dub, but he's a drug dealer so I know I cant trust him. They could have been scoping my car and had his little brother set it up. I know none of you know them but I do and this is the exact sort of thing they are known to do. God I just want to mob over there and start busting heads but that wont solve sh*t, and will most likely make things worse.....
