What most ya ever got yours going and at what rpm and list mods to engine, intake, fuelin and tranny and what u have you ar rig for street,stripe etc.
I am just curious what systems ur runnin and how she works

had my freshly built motor up to a buck 20. that was all she had. 4K tranny with a .71 fifth... If i still had the stock .89 5th i'm sure i could hit 135 rpm limited of course. But the tall 5th really kills my top speed.

Hmm, 120 is all? On my stock 8v, I have hit 112 on flats and 118 on a very very slight decline, and it was still pulling very very slowly.
That's on a stock motor that was not kept up well by previous owners and has 176k miles on it.
But, I guess 120 is quite an improvement over 110. I just had expected a fresh motor would give more for some reason.
Could my altitude help, or does that make things worse? I was driving at 4000ft at the time, perhaps that was enough to give me some more speed? I don't know enough about these things.
Edit- Nevermind, I just re-read the part about the .71 fifth
 
The speed + RPM that I remember that was recent is 85mph at 4k rpms (during a trip with two other people in the car, plus luggage). The only engine mod is a K&N air filter.

120 easy. 4k plus on the tach Id guess wasnt doing much looking down just kept it buried....stock motor tranny just tuned up etc.
My daughter was lost.. she was 3 at the time... I made it across town in 4 minutes normally 20 -25 minute drive. sliding sideways through lights etc. broke in the new suspension though

not at the time but just installed Shore 65 rear mount tonight. (that sucked)

I'll try going into the redline when I throw my ABA w/ARP stuff in there. i need something to drive right now, not a solid hunk of metal under the hood I know, I'm a wuss.

No special transmission stuff, but I would agree with the 118mph as my highest top speed. Still could pull to the redline by ~300 rpms, but just pulls slowly to that point.

I hit 135 in a 2 mile stretch from 55, with a euro spec rocco, dual outlet amnifold, A2 TB, A2 CIS fuel dizzy, eurospec 40 degree ingintion dizzt, supersprint cat back, hollow cat, no mid muffler, apex suspension, unknown trans, stock bottom end with a 1.5 liter cam in it. The tach was basically pinned, but I wasn't really paying attension at the time... I flashed down and saw 135 on the 140 speedo... then realized I needed to turn...

i think i hit 100 once... it took like 20min to get from 90-100 though
i miss my bmw, shot from 60-110 in no time without pushing it (still had about another 30mph before i hit the gov, but never felt the need to push it farther) (ok, thats a lie...i was always paranoid of a cop bein there and i didnt have a radar detector)
