a little help from the p/n gurus...

I am looking for the black plastic piece that fits on the rear apron. one end covers the carpet and the other end fits under the hatch seal. i am looking for that black piece and i also need the p/n for the clips. Here is a pic of what area i am talking about.

From what I can gather off of ETKA and assuming this is for the '92, the cover has a part number of 176 863 485A 01C and the clips have a number of N 902 824 01. Hope this helps.

i think that is it. i couldn't find it in ETKA for the life of me...but i did a search for the part number you listed and it pulled it up. I can see how i over looked it. Thanks dude

If I remember right they are like 45 bucks from the dealer as well. Mine was cracked pretty bad and I found a cherry one in the junkyard. So I grabbed it, went home ripped mine out and tossed it in the garbage and went to install the new one and some of the holes are in different places. So there must be two version out there. My car is a 91, the one I got in the junkyard was from an older golf.

It is different between Jetta and Golf and ETKA mentioned a difference with central locking.
