Just got the VAG-COM interface cable for the wife's laptop today along with a Bentley factory repair manual on CD-ROM.
I'm trying to force myself to become computer literate to some degree.
I think I'll start by trouble shooting the CEL on the wife's TDI.

Was that an R32 specific Bentley you got? I didn't even know they were out yet.

No actually just a MkIV manual. We also own a high mileage '00 golf TDI.

I have mk4 bentley myself + R32. I hope they make update to include R32 specific information soon.
