I took the data provided by Corradodrvrfnd threw it into a spreadsheet (because I'm bored) and came up with the following totals:
Available Sold
Central 46 4
Mid Atlantic 89 10
Northeast 29 4
Rocky Mountain 48 7
Southeast 101 0
Western 83 0
Total 396 25
Definately more than 50 left but not a whole lot left

i was sketptical, considering there were 1300 left in august, and the most U.S. dealers had sold in a month (r32 only) was under 330

This looks like the most credible data available and squares with some of the numbers that we've seen earlier. Clearly people are still buying because we're getting newbies here every day.

That's pretty much where I expected it to be at this point. There'll
be a few left for 2005, but not much.
HTML isn't a typesetting language so multiple whitespace = one whitespace.
There's a "hack-a-round" one can use to reformat it the way I did.

Back OT, the dealer where I bought mine has one DBP left, out of 10 they had in stock. (Not all DBP)

I know Autotrader doesn't represent all of the available R's...but it is a good gauge of how they're selling..
11/8 am - 161 left
11/8 pm - 159 left
11/9 (just checked) - 148

does all of them not selling hurt or help our resale.
i know basic economics says it helps cause there are less on the market, but i would think it might hurt since the car gets a perception of not meeting its sales target, i.e. it was over priced (it was), and that it has quality issues (it doesn't).
either way i guess it dosen't make a difference to me since i'm driving this thing for 5.5 more years.

FWIW - there were 26 listed on the web within 200 miles of Portland, OR (www.vw.com) end of August, now there's only 1. So some areas are dropping fast.
