Re: G60 BLING (Lysholm)

Looks good, but a bit too bright for my tastes tho. However, why did u PC the OFH? no one sees it. Waste of money imho, but to each man his own. What else do u plan on PCing?

Re: G60 BLING (Strictly Gravy)

I have begun assembling my engine

why powdercoat parts that someone might not see? cause I have a powdercoating kit, doesn't cost me much and it protects better than paint.

Re: G60 BLING (ViolentBlue)

understandable. And where did u get this powdercoat kit? I am verrrrry interested.

Re: G60 BLING (Wizard-of-OD)

used up my entire bottle of reflective chrome on a friends valve cover, it looks seriously hot, I'd like to take apart my altenator and powdercoat the case, either the reflective chrome or an adonised look like the valve cover.

Re: G60 BLING (shift)

prep for powdercoating is super easy in 3 steps.
1: beadblast
2: washdown with acetone (or some other quick dry solvent)
3: prebake to remove any gassout problems (this is a must on cast aluminum valvecovers, due to oil penetration)

All pullies are stock

Just pollished first, then powder coated in a translucent red. Any thing that couldn't be pollished was powder coated. The basic Eastwood kit rocks. Got more than my fair share of use outta of it.

Re: G60 BLING (pacobonnin)

Just find an old electric oven from a rummage sale or clasifieds. I got mine from my parents when they remodeled their kitchen http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
