Re: (SUV-ETR)

good dyno numbers but the 1/4 mile time could be more impressive. i have a lysholm on an 8v and dyno'd 229hp with 226fpt, i am running low 13's and even busted into the 12's. you want to see a huge improvement try a lysholm, trust me that would make some serious numbers with a 16v head. i got one for sale if interested. good job though....
no smoke its a joke

any idea why your dyno sheet cut out at 2500rpm? spark problem?
Image

no idea, a gap like that is from the pickup not reading anything, he may have hit the button on-off-on. and again yes i know the car is faster then my times. i have always said the car should easily do 13's. but i am not a drag racer, never pretended to be one. in the 12 years i have owned the car its been down the 1/4 maybe 50 times. i prefer to play in the curves you tend to break much less things that way.

the dips were caused by a plug wire arcing due to a small cut in it. might have hit 250 but the boost tube blew off so i called it a day. ran it at the track today and got down to 14.3 @95 with an open diff. so for those that think you have to have a lysholm to make power think again http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Yes, it may be true that you can still create good power from a G60, but it takes more effort since it's not as effiecient as a Lysolm. And the fact that it is still less bullet proof than BBM"s Lysolm Compressor. Impressive #'s either way

great numbers! Those #'s give me hope with the stock IC. Are you using mostly stock boost tubes? After I did the 16v I was thinking boost tubes/IC might be the next thing to upgrade...maybe not. I should get standalone.

if i wanted to build an engine just to make power i would put a turbo on and be done with it. i like a challenge and would rather use the G60. the lysholm is good but i havent seen them making alot of power without a ton of boost. i think it would be fun to bolt one on run the same boost and see what difference it really makes. if it ever blows i am going with a vortech charger just to be different.

got to the track again today and best run was 13.9@99.5. ran 14.1@ 14.2 all day at 99 and change, just couldnt break 100 mph. even with drag radials i would get wheel spin in 1st and shifting into 2nd the front end would wiggle from spin http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

i have a vortech on my vr, i would imagine a lysholm or a nice g-lader would be much more fun with the quickness the boost comes in as opposed to the vortech.

how much boost are you running on the vr6. if i went with one i would be aiming for around 15-20psi. there would still be a decent amount of low end boost. i saw a scirocco with a procharger pushing 250whp and i think around 220torque

Maybe you should tell people you did that on drag radials
