not euro ones....euros went to 260 which i'm pretty sure comes to about 155 or more?...but either way they have a 94 black auto too...for 15k...hehehe sorry but i could find a nicer resprayed/rebuilt rado for that much

Well to get technical the top speed of the Corrado has nothing to do with horsepower. The gearing limits it's top speed. For instance lets look at stock ratios first. A stock CDM 02A on 205/50/15's (speedlines) will mathematically do 146mph @6500 rpm. If you pushed it to 7000 rpm you could squeeze it to 157 but that would most likely be a bad move. If you put in a TDI .755 5th you could do 162mph @6500.

My gearbox with a 3.94 final and a TDI 5th will mathematically do 150mph @6500rpm although when the speed exceeds the speedometer it's time to slow down.

I bet the cars been hit or something, look at the badging on the rear, on my 93 both the corrado and slc badges are on the passenger side. Were they differernt(corrado on driver side slc on passenger) on the 92's or is there something fishy going on?

not all VR's.. my SLC has no speed governor, and no chip... could be an early VR thing, as i have a '92 though...

1)looks like it's a dealer selling it, from the description. 2)the price is pretty damn high, 3)it's an auto SLC, 4)and you'd think they'd clean it a little bit to make it a little more presentable, that engine bay is really, really dirty...

Just for some info then.. Euro Corrado speedo's go up to 160MPH on both the G60, late 16v and VR6.
The 2.9 VR6 over here is good for hitting an indicated 155MPH but speedo's are known to be as much as 10 or 15MPH out at that kind of speed... gearing is good for hitting nearly 160MPH believe it or not once the car has had a bit of work done to it.

both cars are here in CO at osborn VW 303-237-1311 ( cough rip off) I called to ask a question about them and the salesman took down my info and asked me how do you spell corrado??? Dip ****s! BUY it now price for the 1994 is 15k and it has 18k miles
