the water in your spare tire well is from bad foam tail light seals.

make sure none of the weather stripping around the car is loose if your getting water other places...maybe something isn't closing flush?

I have the same problem. Every time it rains, I get water (usually a lot) in the spare tire well and the rear driver side floor.
I replaced my tail lights with smoked one's, I didn't think that the seal's around the lights were bad. Is that seal what usually causes water to get into the spare tire well? I didn't see any other problems with the seals around the rest of the car.

I had this problem, and it was my taillights too, what i did was pull the foam off of my old (and cracked) lens and added it oi my new lights. no leaks since.
if it leaks in the rest of the car it could be your sun roof , of the plastic sheats in your door if there riped or removed they will leak.

get get some silicone sealing caulk. that can be used to seal the gasket to the taillight and then to the gasket to the car. its REALLY hard to get off tho... so i just used some 3m strip ac caulk.

no leaks since (knock on wood)

Yup I just replace my taillights with smoked! thats may be it, iv always had good luck with silicon, it comes of great i think ill try that. Would leeky tail light seals be reason for wet rear passenger foot wells being soked too?
