Anyone else been attracted by the siren call of the MKV GTI?

Just wondering...I told myself no more VW's after the tough time I had with mine...but man, I gotta admit, after watching/readin the Top Gear, 5th Gear, Automobile reviews...
I want it.
Anyone else in the same boat?

I still don't like the ass of it, but that's nothing a little paint (or aftermarket bumper) won't cure. Other than that, I'm nuts for the car. I can't wait. I was toying with the notion of a new or new/used ride... R32... 01 S4... 05 Mustang GT... I've decided I will keep my Golf, mod it up some more, and then see what the MK5 is like, but I'm pretty sold on the new GTI. I think the 2.0T is an amazing engine, I can't wait to drive it!

I'm also debating on getting a 05 gli or just wait for the new GTI

i reckon i'll wait till spring 06 when the new gtis have been sitting there for awhile, & go trade my gli for it...

Horrible design. VW has lost it's identity among the sea of Japanese hatchbacks.

Mk5 GTI is too ugly. I'll stick with my 20AE until the Mk6 arrives.

All that weed has gone to your head... if you think that your car is gonna hold its value more than any other VW you are insane. I'll see you MKIV people in my rear view mirrors

As for me, my car will be up for sale as soon as I know I can have a MKV with DSG/Nav/BiXenons and all the goodness waiting for me
