Re: (WickedMystic)

I think he's talking about 40mm offset. But without knowing the width of the wheels, it's impossible to say. A 6" wide wheel with a 40mm offset is probably fine. A 7" or wider wheel with a 40mm offset is going to be a problem. It won't clear the strut on the inner edge.

Re: (A2HeliosGLI16v)

My rims have a 40mm offset and there 16x7 and they only rub if I hit a bump because im running so low. My friend has 17x7 with a 40mm offset and 205/40/17 tires and his almost never rubs. So I dont think your going to have a problem.

Re: (A2HeliosGLI16v)

Here is some more to worry about.

Ask the seller about the centerbore measurement for the wheels. Mini's centerbore is different than VW/Audi which is 57.1mm. If it is not 57.1mm make sure you get hubcentric rings with them or you might have wobbly wheels.
I think the wheels are cool looking and would great on your Helios!

Only if you torque the lugs with the wheels on the ground. If you have non-hubcentric wheels, you can torque the lugs with the wheel off the ground and it will center on the lugs instead of the hub and won't be wobbly. I learned that trick with my non-hubcentric rims. I had them balanced and I still had a gnarly wobble at freeway speeds. I torqued the lugs with the wheels in the air, and no more wobble.

thanx, all the help i can get.

Had 17x7s w/42mm offset w/pss coilovers and they didn't rub at all. (ran 8mm spacers in the rear to clear the coilover though)
