I got a call from another Vortexer in Payson, Utah about a great deal on some recaro's. His Dad's friend, who lives way down towards central Utah stated he had some decent recaro seats for sale.
So today I picked up Sam in Payson, and drove down to Chester and checked them out. Within one minute of seeing the seats I handed him $200 and called it a deal.

I also picked up a Helios rear Recaro seat from Sam for $100 as well.

The day turned out perfect for the drive down and back:

I've thought about recovering the whole set in leather, or throwing the rear seat in the wtt/WTB thread for a trade for a rear that matches the fronts. Either way it works.
Apparently the fellow who sold them to me stated that the Gli the front seats came out of was totalled at 20,000 miles, he took them out, stuck them in a caddy and they sat for years. Aside from some dust and very light outer bolster wear, they're perfect.

i say recover them in leather. that would look good on your car.

That is what I want to do, though it may be a while to get a chunk of change for it. So far I have been quoted from $700 to $1100 to get it done.

I figure that by eating cup-o-noodles for three months or so should do the trick.
