It's great having tools for everything and tools that fix tools.

Interesting story about Craftsman....
When my dad went through med school and was a resident, he like all others before him has to do the sh|t work, and one of his jobs was to disinfect and clean the surgical instruments. Guess what brand the scalpels and other various fun instruments were...yes....Craftsman.
Theres something to think about,
John

So I guess anyone in the San Diego Area should pass by your garage when they have something to put on their car... well, when your box will be filled that is.

Heres another story for you, while in college I worked at Sears, and one day an older woman, probably in her 60's, came in and put the craftsman lifetime guarantee to the test, she had the blade portion of an ax that must have been almost as old as she was and seemed like it was buried in her yard for most of the time, no handle just the blade with the craftsman inscription on the side of it, and she wanted a new Ax so i told my manager and he gave her a new Ax new questions asked. That’s why you pay more for craftsman tools, But if you can catch a snapon tool truck try to get some of their tools OMG those things are truly indestructible.

Yeah but you will pay out of your nose for a tool set. Craftsman is the best "bang for the buck" IMO. I know a guy that has a quarter million worth of SNAP-ON tools.....simply incredible pieces!!.....PRICEY, though

Re: Got a new toolchest !! pics (bugzy)

Nice toolchest (I guess
Image
) I was in the Snap-On store on the weekend and their top of the line tool chest goes for $10,000CDN!!! WTF? That's a motorcycle!

Re: Got a new toolchest !! pics (john green)

I never said they were reasonably priced just that "OMG those things are truly indestructible." which they are. But I will agree with you that bang for your buck Craftsman is a good deal, Another set of tools to look into that are also reasonably priced and offer a lifetime warranty is "Husky" which is sold through Home depot.
