I read on the forum, that when you put your car in reverse the side mirrors will tilt down towards the ground. I also read that it doesn't matter if you're an auto or manual. When ever I back up, my side mirrors don't move at all. Is this a 2002 thing or what? Just curious.

As I said it's a JETTA ONLY THING that's why yours does it. Theirs won't b/c both have them have a GTI.

Well, if anyone knows how to do it, let us know. We po' foke like gadgets too.

If I might clear up some confusion. Only the Jetta and Passat GLX will have this feature. And it really doesn't matter what your mirror setting is on the door. Unless you change it as you set your mirrors and seat in the memory, it is going to tilt on the PASSENGER side only after going into reverse. You can set your own view if you wish by placing the trans in reverse, moving the mirror where you want it, and then holding down the appropriate memory switch.
Oh, and did you know your self-dimming mirror comes out of dim when you reverse, also?
