Well, I made a lil trip to the local dyno on Friday night with Franz who flew all the way out from WI just to say HI!
Image

I currently have the REVO R32 program, Magnaflow exhaust, AEM CAI, and a LWFW. The REVO settings were 9-9-9! I do not have a STOCK dyno on my car from this place, but for comparison sake, we did dyno an all stock R and used it for a baseline arguement. Please lets not get into the whole deal over the stock R dyno on someone elses car. It is for comparison sake because I dont have one.

Re: REVO, AEM, Magnaflow & 100 octane (George@DUBWARS)

Did you happen to get a wideband reading to see how optimal your settings are? I plan on getting a graph when I dyno, I have a feeling that I am running WAAY rich before boost kicks in.

Naw.. I did not get a wideband reading.. I did not feel I needed it.

I had the pleasure of driving George's car today... yeeeEEEOWZA!!

Damn George...you've created a monster! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Throttle response was instantaneous. Very noticable difference in torque/HP ..... it's a total different drive than my stock R. The magna flow was quite entertaining hooowa! and the H&R sus was firm and tight. George is ready to race.
Thanks George for letting me take it for a drive. Very nice set up. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

yeh 100oct allows for some pretty substantial timing advancing to give some nice torque. that was my main impression w/ the GIAC 100oct too

No worries Matthew.. You were long overdue for a spin. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif (and thanks for the good words)
The 100 octane is nice.. but I could have had much more timing. For some reason my car can run on SPS setting 7 for timing on 91 pump gas without pinging or pulling out timing. Normal setting should be 4-5 on 91. I really needed something like a 12 to get the best of it. I think it may be the LWFW and the AEM (

) which enables me to run that timing on 91 pump gas..

11, not 12 George, that's the joke... I wish it went to 11!

Now if we could get some pics of George's R with an 11" Stonehenge replica

Re: REVO, AEM, Magnaflow & 100 octane (Zwagen1)

Power feels great and really pulls hard in the top gears. It's a freeway monster. Based on prior MAHA dyno runs with AWD DYNOJET, it should be making around 300 crank hp! He was close on the MAHA, but adding REVO sealed the deal. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: REVO, AEM, Magnaflow & 100 octane (Doug Brekke)

Woah, wait a sec.. It'll be pretty hard to gauge the throttle response on Georges car because he has a lightened flywheel... if I'm not mistaken.

Yes.. It is hard to gauge if you do not know what to look for. For an experienced driver, or one who has driven the car before (Doug and yourself would fall in both groups), You can tell the difference in the LWFW, and in the throttle response. The LWFW gives more of an engine response, and the software give more of a throttle response. I honestly thought they would be the same until I felt the difference, then I understood.

Sweet, George!
Now the question is... which program will you run when you get boosted?

REVO has a boosted R32 program! HA! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: REVO, AEM, Magnaflow & 100 octane (George@DUBWARS)

George, thanks for the dynos! Seems like you love its performance too.
Do you think that Revo will release a before/after dyno on the same car/day? When does Revo plan on releasing it?

Yes, I felt both also. The amount of throttle input/response and the engine response was very good. I have driven other R's with GIAC and no LWFW and there is a distinct difference. I'm still 100% stock so when I get into a car like George's it's all fresh. I feel it all from baseline.
Also one crude yet simple way to check throttle/motor response is while in neutral, very quickly.. mash the throttle all the way to the floor and let off. Watching how high and quickly the revs go and then fall with a quick hard blip can also show differences.
side note: I also have a 14yr old (175,000mi) mazda miata. its not fast with it's 116hp stock motor, but its throttle response is very good.

I saw a before and after dyno on an all stock R32. It was 8hp. I could not catch the tq tho. I dont know why it has not come out yet either? I just found out some other guys in running the software have seen 20hp @ the wheels with thier mods + the software. I am sure they will post it sometime.
Image

Edit.. The software has ALREADY been released. Not all dealers have the files as of yet tho. Eurocode Tuning in Cali was the first people to get it since they did the final testing. They are selling the software for $299 right now. I heard "normal retail" is $399, but Eurocode is really pushing the product @ $299 being competitive with all the other R32 programs out there. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

For the guys who got a 20whp gain, what were the other mods? Was it the Revo + CAI?
