For those who filled there hood notch

I ordered a badge-less grill and it came with a metal hood filler. im going to get my hood filled and im wondering what you guys did to fill the notch? Did you use the peice you got with it or did you custom make something? Like this.

you could do it yourself with some body filler, it shouldnt be too tough

and it will crack and look terrible. do it right and pay a body shop to weld in a piece of metal.

Thats what I am asking did you use the part that came with the grill or did you have something else made?

We used the metal notch that came with the FK badgeless grill as a basis for the fill. A lot of trimming, fitting, welding, and then a little filling later, it looks great.

just buy the notchless carbon fiber hood

when mine was filled the shop cut a custom hood notch and welded it in. no problems so far and it looks great. if i had the $ i would have gotten a notchless cf and painted it.
