do i realy need to custom make the a-arms.. there has to be another option

No.
Get a 5lug front hub and outer CV from a VR6 car. Take the hub and bearing to your local machine shop and have them turn the hub down to press fit into the bearing (probably want to bring a good stock hub too to check size). Have your brake rotors redrilled for 5x100. Install the hub and bearing into your late Mk1 spindle (85+). Take the VR outer CV and install it on your axle. Install brakes. Enjoy.
Rear is easy, just swap discs.

so..
if i found a junkyard vr6 with the 5 lug conversion
and i cut off the front axles,shocks,brake lines, and tierods on both sides and took everything off
i can just bolt the setup onto my car?
and if you dont mind 1 more q.. since im taking the vr setup off an mk2
..is the rear bar (axle) the same as an mk1's ? are they interchangable
