Anyone every buy a Dell Laptop over the internet?

I purchased the inspirion 1150 with some upgrades just before christmas online. everything went as planned and I'm quite happy. Theres always people saying the usual oh its cheaper here or you shoulda gone there etc etc. but I'm happy so far. Havent had any problems yet so I dont know what type of service they run when you need it. IM or email me if you need any info.

We buy all Dell's at work, though we normally get the latitude laptops. I have heard if you phone in the order, you can sometimes get a better deal. Don't know if that's true though.

got my wife a dell laptop back in Sept/Oct...bought it online...got an upgraded HD and free shipping...was here is 7 days...no problems.

When they offer specials its usually worth it, but otherwise you can get something cheaper local with same features and reliability...JUST DON'T BUY MDG http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

I have a dell desktop and their customer service has been great. Just at the beginning of the year my fan started making funky sounds, I called dell and they paid for the shipping of the old fan to them and the new fan to me http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Did the exact same thing!!! Same time and same Laptop.
I got the 3yrs warrenty with it. But I got it for $150. I told them that it was way to expensive.
So Bargain with them, Its all being recorded so they have to please the customer........so work it in!!! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif But very happy with it!! and get a free carry case aswell!!! MILK them!!

Typing this on a Dell Latitude D800. Good deal, fast shipping. No complaints. Be forewarned though. Home Use customers (Inspiron)get the wonderful outsourced customer support. Business Customers ( Latitude ), get support located in the US. That is if you care about customer support.

We know a few peeps that work at Dell, and they are nice folk...I'd even go as far as saying....honest.
We buy are servers from Dell, and no problems.

I upgraded all the PC's here at work to Dell's (with the exception of 5 PC's that the owner insisted on IBM's), and they have all performed flawlessly. In addition, the shipping was prompt and customer service top notch.
