Temperature sensors/coolant sensor for a MKIII 2.0

replaced my coolant temp sensor last week.
Easy as pie. pick one up from the dealership for 11 bucks or something (for the 2.0 anyways), drain a gallon of coolant, take out the old sensoe, put in new one, put coolant back in and whalaaaa

How about the temperature(thermostat) sensor?

Temperature sensor=coolant temp sensor.
The thermostat is not a sensor. It's a heat operated valve. There's an active thread right now about replacing it.

Just make sure you're car is nice and cold before you remove anything! I was at autozone once and I saw a lady was just about to unscrew the radiator cap on her brand new Jeep Cherokee. She became very offensive when I gave her a lecture on why you are not supposed to do that.
