GIAC chip reflash?

Hey guys/gals,
I know a guy that's selling his GIAC chip (&board) for a DL ecu. He said that I can get it to work on my 2004 1.8t (NK ecu) by just reflashing the chip at a GIAC dealer and said that the board should just solder in to mine.
Any truth in what he's saying? Can I use his DL ecu GIAC chip on my NK ecu by a simple reflash?
Help/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you purchase the chip, you can trade it in for full credit and then can get yourself an X+ GIAC Flash. Hope that helps.
