ok well I got these wheels when I got my car, now I have painted them black and am thinking of putting them back on so what do ya think of the wheels in general
this is the car when i got it

and this is what the wheels currently look like

I've only seen those on 80's Honda Accords, so I'd say ditch 'em and get some of those Schmidt wheels that look like dog dishes - I love those on older VW's!

Looks like ShoLow or Pinetop.
Not a big fan of the directionals, half the car looks backwards.

if you get the a2 steelies, make sure and get a good set of the beauty rings. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif hell, polish those up and it'll look pretty nice.

im not going to be able to keep those, the guy i got them from wants them back..

so now the only choices i have for wheels is the ones pictured above or these...and i dont really like these ones, i used to have them on the car they dont look right

I am assuming you want to do this on a budget so.. here are some thoughts from me:
Ronal R10 Turbos:

Corrado Sebring (found on the 1989-1991 G60 Corrado):

Early MkIII Golf/Jetta wheel:

P-Slot (polished):

Borbet Type C:

I have a couple of sets of wheels that I will be selling here pretty soon but they are less "budget minded."
