your answer lies in a picture of the trek seats.
if they look like gti/glx/wolfsburg seats, then they're better.
if the seat looks like a gt/gl/gls seat, then they're not.
i can't remember what they look like, for some reason.

I think they're not as cushiony and GL seats are softer material. And they have side bolsters. In all, they're a bit sportier. Then again, depends on the year of the cars they came in. VW has a habit of changing little things here and there every year.

look for the cloth wolfsburg seats and shizz.
also...the 97/98 treks might have the bolster seats....but the ones in the picture are def. the same as GL's.

I hated my trek seats with a passion. I love the cloth seats in my GLX Jetta though.

i think the difference in firmness is slight, and it's only because of the fabric.
the GL/GLS seats have that cushy velour-type shizz...the other seats have an almost canvas cover.

Those seats are the same as mine (GT) Seats. They have the Metal Bolsters and are firmer than the GL. My cousin has those exact seats from the same year in his trek, and they are the same form/shape as my GT's. Get 'Em Chris http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
