Re: Any previous 1.8t owners here?? (D-Witt)

I loved the R32 the first time I drove it and knew that I had to own it. I had driven my 20th AE for almost a year and couldn't decide which one I liked the most........so, I bought the R32 and kept the 1.8t. They are so different in so many ways. I like tossing the 20th around with it's lighter nose and when the turbo kicks in, it is a rush. My 32 is just bad-ass fast from the get-go and I drive it the most. Both have the APR chip. My 20th has 16k and my 32 has 10k on the clock.
what color are they?

Re: Any previous 1.8t owners here?? (TURBOJETTA420)

I also had the 01 1.8t GTI (GIAC chipped only) for the first 5 months of my R owner ship. Alternated cars every few days.
It took me about a week to convince myself that the R was faster than the 1.8t off the line. My ass refused to believe.
There isnt a single thing on a stock R that isn't better than it's counter part on the GTI. (seats, suspension, brakes, engine, interior, .... er ... wheels and tires

Had a Jazz Blue 20th with all the goodies except for turbo upgrade, went to sell it at the dealership to save money (it was my third car), and came home with BMP .:R. Had an S4 before the 20th and all I can say is the .:R is the best Audi that VW has made.

Hey, I have 97 vr6 and then got my 03 1.8t but i just miss the vr6. It sounds much better, much smoother, and i think its an all around badas$ car. I just wanted to know what your likes and dislikes were when you moved on from a 1.8t to r32...let me know.. Well i searched and it looks like with chip and cai a r32 can do low 13.. possible?

I traded in a 1.8T 2002 GTI for this car...much better...sounds more beefy/heavier than my other car...
But I do have to say I miss it!!!!!
Plus you don't get all the swooshing sound all the time...gets old...

Had an A4 1.8T that would stay right with chipped S4s. I miss the spooling noise but have always belived in "No replacement for Displacement." My 78 TA 6.6L was Balls.....miss that spool though.....

Re: Any previous 1.8t owners here?? (TrB0GTi)

had an '04 1.8t, it was a great car, but my R32 felt and STILL feels a lot better to drive in... plus, I like the feeling more when I tell people that I drive an R32 compared to when I told people I drove a gti, its a good feeling
