Since you are in Irvine, you can drive up to Eurosport Accessories in Anaheim to get GIAC'ed. Not too far from you! You should try the chip out on your stock N75 without any boost controllers first to see how it treats you....

Re: GIAC X chip for AWW (Dubbed18T)

I have a 2001 GTI 1.8T AWW with giac X+ chip! All I can say is that it is like getting chipped again (former GIAC 1.1 BAR chip). Very easy to drive but when you lay into the throttle you are in for a very nice suprise. It has alot of torque......I mean alot. I have the ECS stage 1 clutch with 14LB flywheel. I feel it slip occassionally before it "bites". Overall, I say it was worth the $50 upgrade. I lost about 20mpg so I'm about 350 total miles on a full tank of gas. I'm seeing a 21 psi spike in second gear when I lay into it. I've been chipped like this for the past 2.5k miles and I'm just a cat hair past 100K miles. I'd say go for it, you will NOT be unhappy with it. Current engine mods FYI are : GIAC X+, GFB hybrid BOV, AEM CAI, ABD TIP, Neuspeed LIP, N75J valve, Techtonics 2.5 in Turbo Back exhaust, and ECS Tuning stage 1 clutch w/ 14lb flywheel. I hope this helped your decision.

Come on guys, he either meant 2mpg or 20mp/tank. Both of which could be caused by fuel quality, driving style, etc.

no ****, it's obviously a typo. waiting for him to correct it and tell us what he really meant-

Re: GIAC X chip for AWW (kidshorty)

Sorry, it was a typo. I usually get around 3770-378 TOTAL miles on a full tank with the old program. Now I see around 350 miles on a full tank. Hell, if I was losing 20mpg I wouldn't suggest this chip to anyone.

Hope this helped.

Re: GIAC X chip for AWW (kidshorty)

Hell, if I lost 20mpg and was still getting 350 total miles with the mods I have..........forget the chip! You all should be asking what alternative fuel source I am using!
