If your like me with an 87 Jetta with cam, pulleys, headers, throttle body but still stock induction, no air kit will fit.. ive looked.. so just take the cover off the airbox, then the filter, and the hole in the bottom that sucks the air.. which is tight as anything, just drill it until you feel you should stop.. and ive checked with VW shops.. its ok.. your not breaking anything. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

your running your car without an air filter?

Yes sir, it is common knowledge around this community that you can safely modify the airbox in such a manner. There is alot of debate around here as to the benefit of this.
