That's amazing that Bondo still uses the same can graphics. I remember more than 10 years ago looking at a can of Bondo on my dad's shelf with that same car in the picture. I couldn't figure out if Bondo was paint or what it did. Well good luck with it!

Why are they displayed so proudly, prominently, and flamboyantly? Are you trying to come out of your shoe fetish closet?

Yeah, but easier said then done. Some people don't have the skills nor $$$ to weld and do sheetmetal work.

Look for a product called 'Metal to Metal.' It's a body filler w/ real metal in it. More expensive than bondo, but it won't let the real sheet metal underneath it rust like bondo does. When I strated the body work on my car I didn't know soo much bondo was used, like 1/4" to 3/8" thick

It was cracking and coming off in chunks, underneath it nothing but rust http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif (luckily not too deep)

You can get it for a decent price at a company called Eastwood
http://www.eastwoodco.com/shop...metal
* Also it sands just about as easy as bondo.
Also something else to think about (you can get it from eastwood as well)

Good product for DIY, The final

youll cut through bondo with that stuff FAST

yes, go out and buy a random orbit sander with some 150 grit stuff, that sander will put huge gouges in your bondo. Mix the bondo well and use enough hardener.
Also, get a foam sanding block, and build up your layers thin and slow. Take your time and it will look good. Don't expect perfection on your first time with bodywork.
Also, wear a sanding mask, bondo dust gets everywhere. If you have rust that has perforated a panel, you can JB weld a piece of metal to the back maybe (after removing all rust). Then fill it in with bondo.
When you're done, you can go to the same place you bought the bondo probably (any auto parts store) and get some filler stuff, it's in an orange tube. Mentioned on the back of the can for filling in pinholes and stuff. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
