I have my 2.5 Ghl Turboback exhaust installed for over a week now and it still makes a weird smell I heard its because it is new is this true? And sometimes I hear the pipe right underneath me hit the body is this normal or did the person who install it do a bad job?

Re: (porto86)

I would get under your car and look things over. I have the GHL 2.5 TB and I have zero rattles even with people in the back seat. I've never experienced any kind of noise from the exhaust. As for the smell, it will go away soon enough.

I got my GHL 3" turboback installed today. The smell you are smelling is the WD-40 burning off from where your downpipe is mounted to your turbo. It goes away eventualy. I inspected the whole turboback and it is not rubbing anywhere. The 3" system has at least a 1 1/2-2 finger gap between it and the rear axle. There are no rattles or anything, just pure sweet sound. The only downer is the pipe extends a little past the bumper where I want it to, but other than that everything is perfect. I'll see if I can get sound clips and pictures up tonight.

Re: ghl question (porto86)

I'm going to buy a GHL TB but can't decide between 2.5 inchs or 3". I dont plan to upgrade turbo, I have already a FMIC, CAI, DV Forge, Gonna Get chipped soon REVO. and going to get Samco Inlet pipe.
Hows the 3" you installed? any lost of hp since its bigger? Or its just great?
If I take the Resonator option, will it result of HP lost since more air flow restriction?
Thank you to answer my quesiton, would help me alot!

Re: ghl question (1RADTOY)

You have to get under the car any bent up some of the heat sheilds around the exhaust pipe, they are soft so pressing on them with a screw driver or a metal punch will move them, mine did the same thing. Also, if you are using dogbone mount inserts, you may want to check and see if the downpipe is getting close to the steering rack, I also had this same issue. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
