Recently I have had problems with this car on the highway. After it warms up, or after a small time in boost, the car slows down dramatically, stuttering all the way. I look at the vacuum, and it goes up to 5 in of Hg, and when idling its at 10 (normal is at 16). It becomes very difficult to keep the speed of traffic on the highway, and I almost had to pull over this morning.
Does this have anything to do with the lack of a working intercooler? It started doing this even before I took the boost return off and mounted the intercooler.
The thing is last year it wasn't bothered at all with outside temperatures.....now its very temprimental.
O just pulled the pipe out that has the CO pot bung welded to it, and there oil all over the CO Pot, and I looked inside and the O-ring sorta sticks out into the pipe itself. The guy who welded this on did a half assed job, and the entire O-ring sits crooked. Could this be my problem somehow?

Re: G60 problems....again (mrkrad)

Well the interesting thing is that the A/F guage has been screwy lately. It shows full rich all the time, even when the engine is off. Before this happened, it would just gradually build up to full rich and stay there no matter what the motor is doing........

Well the thing is its not running that rich. I got rid of the cat, and there's not alot of black goo coming out of the exhaust. The guage shows super rich all the time, even when the motor is off.
Does the 02 sensor wire size have to be exactly the same as stock? Or can it be all like 18 or 16 guage?

Size shouldn't matter ( don't listen to the girls ) on the wire to your O2, well within reason.
Your failing AF meter could be throwing a funny signal, try disconecting it and see if your problem goes away.

I just stuck on another 02 sensor, and when everything was unplugged/not connected, I turned the power on to the A/F guage and it was reading 9 out of 10 bars....even though the signal wire is just hanging there in the engine bay now.......

Well I just took it out for a spin, did about 65 in 4th, keeping it at 3,400 rpms because thats where I usually see it freaking out (actually between 2,000-3,500) and it didn't fuss at all the whole way. I did a couple full throttle pulls, and still no fuss. I hope this was the problem.
Now on to finishing the A/W setup.......
