Amerex Halotron "clean agent" Fire Extinguishers are the highest quality fire extinguishers available anywhere. Don't take any chances on a lesser quality brand.
Technical details:
HALOTRON I is a "Clean Agent" HydroChloroFluoroCarbon discharged as a rapidly evaporating liquid which leaves no residue. It effectively extinguishes Class A and B fires by cooling and smothering and it will not conduct electricity back to the operator. Halotron is pressurized with Argon gas and is an EPA and FAA approved HCFC blend B agent approved for use on Class A, B and C fires. It has a low Atmospheric Lifetime (3½ to 11 years).
Halotron is intended for use in areas formerly protected by Halon 1211 hand portable extinguishers such as computer rooms, telecommunications facilities, clean rooms, data storage areas, offices (for protection of sensitive electronic equipment), boats and vehicles.
Included mount:
Each Amerex Halotron "clean agent" Fire Extinguisher sold through this GB includes a USDOT and US coast guard approved mount. The smaller 1.4# unit includes a single strap mount while the two larger units include a two strap mount.
Finish:
The Amerex Halotron "clean agent" Fire Extinguishers in this GB are available with a very nice red paint finish or in a nice chrome finish.

Delivery
Amerex is quoteing 4-6 weeks for delivery to us on the chrome units while the red are 3-4 weeks out. This is all once we have placed the order. We'll need 20 paid units to secure this pricing and to place the order. 20 units should be easy since we have this GB up on three major forums. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Once we acheive the 20 unit goal we will place the order. We will however keep the GB going as long as orders continue to come in at a fair pace. All units will be shipped to our customers asap.
For those that want a nice Amerex Fire Extinguisher but don't want the big money price you can get the Dry Chemical unit for just $31.99 here http://www.safedrives.com/prod...at=32

Re: GB- Amerex Halotron "clean agent" Fire Extinguisher group buy. From SafeDrives.com (Safe Drives)

Is this in response to the fire in that MK4?
Anytime you make a significant upgrade you should add fire suppression the pro's that sell the equipment use it too so it can't hurt

Ok, here's the deal.
The typical 10 pound dry chemical extinguisher out there is rated 4A, 60B, C. This means that when used by Joe Citizen, it will put out 4 square feet of ordinary combustibles, 60 square feet of flammable liquids, and can be used on energized electrical equipment. It also means that when tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Factory Mutual (FM) or other testing organizations, the expert is able to put out 4 times the coverage area it is rated for.
So, from fighting a couple car fires in my days w/ the dept. . I want a 50lb.

Naw, if you catch it fast enough, those are plenty big. Just don't be an idiot like the guy in the video.
