Got a little problem here!

Ok ladies and gents, this one has got me pretty well stumped. My car is acting a little strange lately. Ok, this is what happens, the car will start up normally, and idle normally for about 30sec. then it will loose power and stall out. It has done this on two occasions, and has gone back to normal both times. My friend and I can't seem to figure it out. any ideas would be great. thanks

I dunno, maybe, I didn't even see your SN before creating mine, that's kinda funny. But how bout that problem?? it's really wierd, do you think it might be water in the gas or something small like that?? need some help on this one.

Probably a good start. My car behaved similarly when it was an 8v. I would start it up, rough idle and sometimes even die. It would sputter a bit to when driving. Repacing coolant temp sensor cured everything http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Or the O2 sensor. Try disconnecting the O2 sensor itself, and see if affects things. Don't stay off the O2 sensor for long though, as your car will run rich, wasting gas and (eventually) killing the cat. If it does affect things, start with replacing the coolant sensor as it's cheaper.

Why replace? Are you guys forgetting the testing step? Grab a multimeter and test the biach yo

how hard is it to replace the coolant sensor?? and how does that effect what it is doing??

the coolant temp sensor effects how the car starts and runs when cold. Replacing it is easy. Just disconnect the harness, and unscrew the sensor out of the coolant flange.
