I painted them with black spraypaint, then etched out the logo with an exacto knife http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I have actually been thinking about doing the black roof for a few months.

why not get the wolfsburg logo cut in vinyl? stick on the vinyl, spray the sidemarker, remove vinyl, clear http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

O..M..F..G.......
Absolutely beautiful. This car is such a step sideways from every other Mark 4 out there. There is just something about the look of it. Ugh, I don't know how to explain it. It is different, it is amazing.

I am dead serious with what was said about. Mad ****ing props man. That car is simply stunning.

pics are nice but theres something about the car that I'm not feeling, not sure what it is.. I think a painted hood and front lip would make it look much more complete, plus some inserts for the bumper
just my 2c

I absolutely love the Wolfsburg sidemarkers, that's extremely original!
I also like the vintage VW script badge on the hatch, although it may be a bit too large/overbearing... But the car looks excellent, and different. I love it!

hehe, at the time I was working on zero budget, I had the paint laying around and a set of extra sidemarkers so I thought "ah what the hell"

thanks everyone, as always this car is far from done, there are many things I'd lke to do still, but most of them will have to wait untill my Rabbit is closer to being done.

funny story about that, I actually put that one when I had the winter wheels/ whitealls on, just to be kinda retroish, fully planned to take it off once I got the wheels on, but seriously we were in such a rush to git-r-done before the sun went down that we just left it. Then Kris asked me if I wanted it edited out and I thought maybe it just might work with the chrome lips. Long story short I'll probably take it off within a week, it is a bit big.

never seen a jti that color, but it def works nice

since they never made a Jetta this color the only way to do it is to respray, most swappers would rather just do the swap and be done.
fortunately no Jetta's were Gettaized in the making of this car, thanks to a kid in his dads Lexus who didn't know how to drive, and a $100 deductable through my insurance, which I happened to get back
