of course you can make a B5 fast...
Who says that you cant?
Maybe not as much so with an automatic... but I have seen and sold many B5s a PES T-28 kits to Tiptronic equipped cars.... Audi and VW B5s

A lot of cars are fast on the dyno, its not pulling any weight. Get it on the street and see how much power it can produce and lay to the wheels in motion

Aim, I say look at your financial situation and see if you can afford it first. If you can, write down the pros and cons and see what you come up with.
Personally, if you want to lay down money modding, get yourself a GTI or Golf. Then you and mat can be like...twins

you see...i liked that comment.

but ive had a serious GTI craving for the past few months...ask meg..
it would have to be mk4...1.8T

If that's the case, keep Passy.

Re: Advice for Me (prfctprep10)

i'd say do it http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif i'd rather even have an 8v gti over a passat, because of weight. its easier to make hp then to loose weight. besides, it will handle better, brake better. the only down side is space. if you need the room, then keep the passat.

Re: Advice for Me (SILVERTURBO1)

Keep the Passat, but if you get a GTI, don't mess with those tiny 1.8ts...get a 24v VR6 and throw a turbo on it.
Still though, I'd keep the Passat. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
